Theatre Design

Here are a few images I have found that I will use to create the theatre location the fable takes place in. Although I will not be able to create something as detailed as this, I like the simple layout of the theatre and I think it will work well with the animation.

Character Design - The Security Guard

I have drawn another rough sketch to show how I would like the security guard character to look in my adaptation of the fable. The character is meant to look like an old man with grey hair who is quite large. His look is meant to reflect his personality of being a lazy and miserable person. This personality will be shown in the animation and will help the audience to feel dislike for the security guard and therefore support for the fox.

Character Design - The Fox

I have created a rough sketch of how I would like the fox character in the fable to look. I have also created a mood board to give me some help with the modelling and texturing. I thought it would make the story more interesting if I gave the fox a unique personality, therefore I decided to make the fox act like an American Rapper / Gangsta. This will be shown by the fox wearing some bling and possibly a baseball cap as well as the voice.

Story Board

The fable I have chosen to animate is the Fox and the Mask. I believe animating this fable will be challenging but possible in the time scale I have to create it, as there are only a few actors and props to create, meaning I can focus on the animation. below is a storyboard I have created for my adaptation of the fable:
